This is what the final declaration of the Media for Science Forum says:
Europe must renew its commitment to science: spreading the culture of science, and extend access to scientific and technological information and educated participation.
But some topics probably still need to be discussed: Are government subsidies for science journalism, as the declaration suggests, a good approach? How can journalistic independency be secured? Is "dissemination of science" the proper way to think about science journalism?
